Joyce Garland, 90, of Ironwood passed away on Feb. 7, 2021, at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital from covid complications. She was born on Aug. 17, 1930, in Ironwood to Charles and Hilma (Puumala) Dudra. She is survived by her son, Richard (Sharon) Garland of Minnetonka, Minnesota; granddaughters, Katherine (Eric) Brandel of Minnetonka, and Kristin Garland of Edina, Minnesota; and two greatgrandchildren, Finn and Stella Brandel. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Mel Garland. A service for Joyce will be planned at a later date. Spring interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood. The family has chosen McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home of Ironwood to honor Joyce’s legacy of life.

Joyce was a very active member of the Church of the Transfiguration. She served for a long time as a worship leader and senior warden. She also served her community as a volunteer at Aspirus Hospital and the Ironwood Carnegie Library.

We she was loved by all who knew her and will be missed.
